Trane Air Duct Cleaning in Aliso Viejo, CA
We clean and repair the ductwork on Trane systems throughout Aliso Viejo, including XR series splits, older XR2 furnaces, and every air handler paired to them. The difference in Aliso Viejo is simple: the homes here were built almost entirely between the late 1980s and early 2000s on repeatable builder schedules, so the flex-duct layouts and return-chase problems are predictable by floor plan. We know what a late-90s Glenwood two-story is going to show us before we open the attic. We’re independent, we’re local to South Orange County, and you can reach us at (833) 593-4407.

Why Aliso Viejo Residents Choose Us for Trane Service
Most duct cleaning companies treat a Trane system like any other box in the attic. We don’t, because we’ve spent nine years working on Trane residential splits and air handlers across Aliso Viejo’s 92656 and 92698 ZIP codes. Alan Dreyfus, our owner, learned airflow diagnostics through the HVAC/R program at Saddleback College and has been cleaning residential duct systems across South Orange County ever since. That matters here in Aliso Viejo because the housing stock is so uniform. When you’ve serviced enough 1990s tract homes in Aliso Viejo Ranch and Vantis, you learn which builder phase used which flex-duct path, which return chases leak at the filter grille, and which plenum seams fail first in a hot attic. That’s the kind of knowledge that turns a two-hour cleaning into a job that actually fixes the problem. We’re an independent Trane service provider, not affiliated with or authorized by Trane. We diagnose the whole air path, not just the unit. For broader Trane expertise and coverage, see our Trane sales & service page.

Common Trane Air Duct Cleaning Problems We Solve in Aliso Viejo
- Embrittled supply-plenum tape on 1990s air handlers. Trane air handlers installed during Aliso Viejo’s big build-out years often sit on a plenum sealed with tape or mastic. In the hot attics of Aliso Viejo’s Mediterranean-style tract homes, that tape bakes, cracks, and lets conditioned air leak straight into the attic. We re-seal with mastic and re-tape with proper foil tape before we clean, because cleaning a leaking plenum is pointless.
- Sagging and torn original flex duct. Builder-era flex duct on Trane central systems sags between joists in hot attics. When it tears, it pulls attic dust and fiberglass particles into the return side. This is the single most common issue we see in Glenwood and Aliso Viejo Ranch homes built in the late 1990s. We clean it, and if it’s damaged, we fix it.
- Leaking return-air chases in two-story floor plans. Trane return chases in the two-story plans common around Aliso Creek Road frequently leak at the filter grille and the cabinet return collar. On homes backing up to the Aliso and Wood Canyons, fall Santa Ana winds push dust and ash right into those leaks. Edge-of-city homes get demonstrably dustier than interior blocks.
- Dust-caked evaporator coils. Aliso Viejo’s dry, mild climate means air handlers don’t fight humidity like coastal homes do, but they do collect fine dust and pollen that cakes onto the coil with condensate. That restricts airflow and makes the blower run dirtier and longer. Coil cleaning is part of every Trane duct cleaning we do.
- Starved second floors. Long attic flex-duct runs on two-story Aliso Viejo plans often get crushed or kinked where they transition over hallway ceiling joists. The symptom is a weak airflow upstairs even when the Trane system tests fine at the air handler. We find these pinch points during the cleaning and correct them.
